Programs & Training
How often do players train?▼
All players train twice per week (typically weekday evenings) plus participate in weekend games. This provides consistent skill development while maintaining balance with school and family.
What's the coaching philosophy?▼
Our coaches focus on holistic youth development: technical soccer skills, physical fitness, mental wellness, leadership, discipline, confidence, and character. We develop the whole person, not just the athlete.
What if my child has never played soccer?▼
Perfect! Our foundational programs (U6-U8) specifically focus on introducing soccer in a fun, low-pressure way. Coaches adapt to beginners and help them develop basic skills at their own pace.
How are players grouped?▼
Players are grouped by age. Within each age group, coaches may provide individualized attention to players at different skill levels, ensuring everyone is appropriately challenged.
Is there a tryout or selection process?▼
No tryouts required! Everyone is welcome. We don't cut players or create exclusive teams. Our mission is inclusive access to quality training for all youth.
Mental Wellness & Character
How does the academy address mental wellness?▼
Mental wellness is integrated into every session. Coaches are trained in building confidence, resilience, emotional intelligence, and coping skills. We create supportive environments where youth feel safe and valued.
What makes your approach different?▼
We don't just teach soccer—we develop leaders. Our holistic approach combines technical coaching with mentorship, character development, and wellness support. Sport is a vehicle for life skills.
Can my child benefit if they struggle with anxiety or shyness?▼
Yes! Many families choose us specifically for the mental health and confidence-building benefits. Our supportive environment and skilled coaches create space for shy or anxious children to grow.
Practical Information
What should my child bring to training?▼
Players should wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring a water bottle. We'll provide details about required soccer cleats, shin guards, and uniforms at registration. Some equipment loans may be available.
What if my child has a medical condition or allergy?▼
Please disclose this during registration on the form. We collect detailed medical information to ensure coaches are aware and can provide appropriate support. Confidentiality is maintained.
Do you have a code of conduct?▼
Yes. We expect respectful, inclusive behavior from all participants, parents, and coaches. Our code of conduct emphasizes respect, sportsmanship, and zero tolerance for discrimination or bullying.
What if my child needs to miss a session?▼
Life happens! If your child needs to miss training, simply notify us. Consistent attendance helps with progression, but we understand that occasionally conflicts arise.
Do you provide transportation?▼
Transportation to/from training is the parent's responsibility. We provide the facility location after registration. We're located in Cambridge, Ontario.
